History And Achievements:
There was no platform for the students in Gomal University to utilize their
hidden potentials. So the idea was put onto the table of the Governor by a
student of Pharmacy, Shahbaz Asrar khan to establish a council in NWFP.
However, later on, this idea was greatly
acknowledged by Vice-Chancellor Dr Farid Khan , Admin Officer Sir Dil Nawaz khan
,Director Students Affair Sir Malik Sattar Bakhsh Awan and the FAZAL-ur-Rehman.
Shahbaz Asrar khan and FAZAL went to each and
every class of the university to enlighten the students with the radical idea of
Gomalian students council. Nevertheless it was difficult to gain popularity in
very short time and also to win the hearts of the students.
Several meetings were arranged in the office of
publicity officer where few of the selected members used to participate and made
different plans about the future of the council. Their name include,

6. Nadeem Haider
7. Maddam Farhat Shaheen Kundi
8. Miss Sadad Javaria.

!st General Body Meeting:
Now it was the the time to take the first step
and call General Body meeting. In this meeting surprisingly 450 students
participated.
Goals and objectives of the council were
elaborated by Shahbaz. Then following people addressed the students;
1.Sir Dilnawaz Khan.
2.Sir Masood Khattak.
2. Fazalur Rehman.
And the respected Vice chancellor.
Nearly 300 students signed the Registration
forms. In this meeting the constitution was approved by 292 members of the
Council in General body meeting in which they also selected Mr. Shahbaz Asrar
Khan as the first President of the Council for the span of two years. The Vice
Chancellor took the approval from the members.
After that there was a memorable photo session.
Meeting of Board of Governors:
For arranging the meeting of board of Governors a
team was compiled that included:

2.Publicity officer.

4 Salahudin
5.Malik Usman
6.Syed Mohsin Raza
7.Nadeem Haider
8.Salman Arshid
They went to the dignities of the city and told
them the need of the council. They were invited to the meeting. All of them
approved the constitution and accepted Shahbaz Asrar khan as the 1st
President of the council.

and other elite class of the Dera city attended
the meeting.
Other Meetings:
After it several meetings were conducted in Sir
Malik Sattar Bakhsh office. Who diligently conducted each and every meeting and
Executive body was side by side with him in every decision. Some of the meetings
were also conducted by the by the President, Female General Secretary Miss Sadaf
Javaria, chief coordinator Sallahudin, Acting General Secretary Khawar Javed ,
Lord of the house Syed Mohsin Raza.Meetings, GSC Director Finance Qmar Siddique
and his deputy Shahnawaz were conducted according to the constitution.
Students is determined in organizing more and
more functions and InshAllah will be able to achieve its goals and objectives
