Admission Procedure
 

  All applications for admission will be on the prescribed forms and shall have attested photo-copies of all the previously obtained degrees/certificates/DMCs as well as domicile certificate and any other documents mentioned in the advertisement and/or in Application Form attached to the Prospectus.

 
 A candidate may apply for admission to more than one programs on separate Application Forms and each application shall indicate the subject applied for.

 
 An applicant who is employed in the Govt./ autonomous / semi-autonomous / incorporated bodies or firms etc will be required to obtain necessary departmental permission and leave for the duration of the program.

 
 Applications will be scrutinized by the Admission Committee of respective Department/Institute/ Center /College/ Faculty and a list of all eligible candidates prepared.

 
 An eligible candidate if so required shall have to appear for the test and/or interview at the fixed time and date.

 
 A list of provisionally selected candidates, according to the total number of seats and allocation for various categories already approved by the Academic Council, will be placed on the Notice Board of the concerned Department/ Institute/Center/College etc.


 
  In order to give a fair chance of competition, due consideration will be given to the past academic record of the candidate, while determining merit. For this purpose, the following formula shall be followed: However for the departments opting for entry test, final merit will be calculated on the basis of following weightage: Academic merit ( by the formula given below)
60% and Entry Test 40%.


 
 (a) Post Graduate Programs:
i. Percentage of marks obtained in Matric x 1 = X
ii. Percentage of marks obtained in FA / F.Sc / D.Com. x 2 = Y
iii. Percentage of marks obtained in
[B.A/B.Sc/B.Com.+ (relevant subject*] x 3 = Z
(wherever applicable)
Total = X + Y + Z
Merit = Total/ 6

 
 * Relevant subject means the subject, if offered at BA/B.Sc. level, in which the admission is being sought.
(b) Other programs like, B.Pharm, B.Com and BBA/BCS/BIT:
i. Percentage of marks obtained in Matric x 1 = X
ii. Percentage of marks obtained in FA/F.Sc/D.Com. x 2 = Y
Total = X + Y
Merit = Total/ 3
(c) B.Ed Programme.
(1) B.A/B.Sc Candidates.
i. Percentage of marks obtained in Matric x 1 = X
ii. Percentage of marks obtained in       F.A/F.Sc/C&D.Com. x 2 = Y
iii. Percentage of marks obtained in     B.A/B.Sc/B.Com. x 3 = Z
Total =X + Y + Z
Merit = Total/6
(2) M.A/M.Sc. Candidates.
i. Percentage of marks obtained in Matric x 1 = A
ii. Percentage of marks obtained in FA/F.Sc x 2 = B
iii. Percentage of marks obtained in BA/B.Sc x 3 = C
iv. Percentage of marks obtained in MA/M.Sc x 4 = D
Total = A+B+C+D
Merit = Total/10
(d) M.Ed Programme
Percentage of marks obtained in B.Ed.


NOTE

Hafiz-e-Quran shall be awarded 20 additional marks in the total of last examination passed before determining the percentage.

 
 In case of a tie among applicants, merit shall be determined firstly on the basis of marks obtained in the last relevant Exam-passed and secondly, on the examination passed immediately prior to the last examination and finally on the basis of age of the candidate, the older one getting preference.

 
 Admission against reserved seats for Armed Forces, Northern Areas, other provinces including A.J.& K. will be made only upon proper nomination from the concerned agency. All other admissions against a certain category including that for Bhakkar District will be made on the basis of merit as defined separately, from amongst the applicants falling in the category provided the candidates are otherwise eligible.

 
 After the expiry of last date for the receipt of applications, all vacant reserved seats for which eligible applications have not been received shall automatically on the next day, be converted to the open merit seats. However this shall not apply to reserved seats for which nominations are received from outside agencies such as Provincial Governments, A.J.& K. and Northern Areas for whom nominations can be received up to the date when final admission list is prepared. If no nominations are received by the time of notifying the final admission list such seats will also be converted to the open merit.

 
 Except for the first general advertisement inviting applications for admissions, which shall be through news papers, all other notices and modes relating to their admissions and calls for filling up of any unfilled or vacant seats shall only be notified through the Notice Boards of the concerned Department/ Institute/ Center/ College/ Faculty and it shall be the entire responsibility of the candidate to remain in touch with the Department/Institute/Center/College etc concerned regarding all such matters.

 
 Admission for eligible candidates against sports seat will be considered only for those who had participated in inter-varsity/Board competition respectively. In case of more than one such candidates, merit as defined separately, will be the deciding factor.
 
 Students once admitted shall not be allowed to transfer his/her admission to any other Department/Institute/Center/ College.
